Galcerán’s poignant comedy, adapted from the film by Santiago Carlos Oves, highlights the eternal bonds rekindled between a mother and her son.

Jordi Galcerán (Barcelona, 1964) is one of the most recognized present-day Catalan playwrights. He won the Premi Born de Teatre (1995), with Paraules Encadenades (Chained Words), first shown on 1998 at the Romea Theater in Barcelona and directed by Tamzin Townsend. In the same year, he received the Prize Ignasi Iglesias with Dakota, performed for the first time on 1996 at the Poliorama Theater, Barcelona, directed by Josep M. Mestres. He has translated and adapted numerous works. He also has worked as television writer. From the moment El Mètode Grönholm (The Grönholm Method) first opened as part of Projecte T-6 (2003), a breeding ground for new playwrights, it became a cultural phenomenon in Barcelona. El Mètode Grönholm has achieved spectacular success: it ran for three years in Madrid and has been performed in more than twenty one countries. Jordi Galcerán currently lives in Barcelona.
